Chicago needs to make a statement against hottest team in the NBA
Goodness. This is what a win streak feels like? I kind of forgotten. The Chicago Bulls are on their largest win streak that can come to recent memory.... 3 games. Well at this point the Windy City can't be picky and just be excited the Bulls are starting to look to shape into form.
With a huge domination over the Pelicans and the Kings with a close out clutch performance by Derrick Rose in the middle over the Magic the Bulls are floating at 33-20 on the year. They have a 1/2 game lead over the Cavaliers for the division lead. Well guess who is coming to their place tonight?
The Bulls could sure use a win over a quality team like Lebron Jame's Cavaliers to go into the All-Star break. The Bulls are finally trending in the right direction and we don't need to take 2 steps back. There is only one problem, the Cavs are thinking the same thing. They are on a recent hot streak of 14-2 since Lebron James's return from injury and may be the hottest team in the NBA.
So maybe begging for a win is a little too greedy from my red and black heart. I think we would just take the Bulls being competitive in the contest. That would be enough for me at least. If the Bulls just don't look like the regressed back to the team who went a 4 game losing streak just a few short weeks ago.
The Cavaliers have a huge hole in their team that no one has really been able to exploit during their recent win streak. No other team has been built to do it more than the Bulls and the help of Pau Gasol. Jimmy Butler is built to be able to guard Lebron James and has proven he along with Tony Allen and Thabo Sefolosha are really the only players who can cause James trouble on defense.
The Cavs also have a HUGE gaping hole in interior defense, especially when former Nugget Timofey Mozgov is off the floor. With the dual 7 footers in Noah and Gasol, the strong back ups in Taij Gibson and Nikola Mirotic the front court for the Bulls can be lethal. They need to take advantage of this against Cleveland early and often.
The Bulls can make a statement tonight, lets hope they can just over come the king.
