If I could be a Grizzly

I am required for my job to watch every  Thunder game. Right now I'm watching the Memphis Grizzlies play some basketball that looks like something Coach Sutton or my high school coach would love. Defense. Passing. And tempo. These aren't the Memphis teams of old.

I know Thunder fans have seen enough of Memphis the past few years. We have all seen the Grind style of slow man half court basketball and defense. In the past the Grizzlies would do anything to end the game at a 65-35 game. They wanted the least amount of points possible.

They in the past 2 years have traded for Jeff Green and Courtney Lee, two former Celtics. The new look Grizzlies are terrifying. They now are versatile and offensive minded. We are not used to the Grizzlies  scoring in transition and being lethal from the outside. That's who we have now. They also managed to keep their identity. Keeping Mark Gasol and Zach Randolph really make them one of the best rebounding interior defensive teams in the league. This doesn't even count the fact that both big guys are unbelievable in the post.

I would do just about anything for that mentality to trade with my team if I was the Thunder. You are getting beat this game with what your weakness is. Defense and interior offense. I don't knew the outcome of this game yet but I am aware now that I love the Memphis team. And I am in love with teams that play the game it should be played.

Control the tempo. Fast or slow. Execute in the half court. Rebound. And make the other team earn everything.

This is what a work of art looks like to me.
